Preparing your home for sale can take a bit of time. We and the seller decide which day we are going live in the MLS (multiple listing service) and count back. How long it takes to put a home on the market depends on the plan.
We consult with the home seller. Decide how much effort, and expense will be involved with getting the home ready to sell. Sometimes the timeline is very tight and there is no room for deviation. Other times the schedule can be more flexible. How long does it take to put a home on the market? This typically depends on the seller’s time frame and the time of year. We try to avoid going live in the MLS when people will be out of town, such as Spring Break and or three day weekends.
Will you be painting? Making any repairs? What about landscape and curb appeal? There are so many details to consider. The sooner you hire a Realtor, the sooner you will have a plan. With a plan in place, preparing your home for sale can be leisurely. I have even had clients tell me they had fun doing it.
Thinking of selling your home? The first thing on your list should be to contact Phyllis and the Harb and Co. Team!
