Let’s take a look at the Glendale Housing Market for April 2021. This housing market is on fire; fifty-one homes were sold, thirty-nine of those sold for over asking, two at asking, and ten closed under the asking price. Only five of these had price reductions before eventually selling.
The least expensive home sold was a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,000-square-foot home at 415 E. Lomita Ave., which sold for $640,000, $35,000 over the original asking price. The most expensive home sold was a five-bedroom, five-bathroom, 4,555 square foot home at 1155 Sweetbriar Dr. which closed escrow for $3,000,000. $5,000 over the original asking price.

The average price per square foot, sales price, and median price have increased each month this year. Days on the market have declined each month. The selling price to the list price is the highest year to date.
The 2021 spring homebuying season is trending strong and reflects the many positive signs of economic recovery. Historically, low mortgage rates continue to motivate prospective home buyers. We anticipate continued demand in the summer and early fall of 2021.
