Harb and Co. has had a busy September and for whatever reason it seems that most Septembers are the busiest month. Harb and Co. real estate update and holiday gifting:
We closed three escrows, opened two escrows and we were extremely busy preparing our new La Canada listing for sale. The seller’s relocated so we had the home to ourselves. We painted, refinished hardwood floors, made some minor repairs and brought in the staging. I am so proud of the transformation. Before and after pictures will follow at some point.
Typically this time of year Los Angeles real estate slows down. Most people don’t put their home on the market before the holidays and home buyers have few options. So listing your home in September, October is not necessarily a bad idea as their is less competition. But things will typically slow for us and now is the ideal time to think about our holiday gifting.
In between open houses, I took a Saturday morning off to visit the Los Angeles Flower Mart and Moskatels. Our team is trying to decide what to give this year for client appreciation gifts. So much of our business comes from past clients and their referrals and we like to say thank you around the holidays. Last year it was reindeer stuffed poinsettias, but the poinsettias had such a short shelve life, we had to get them delivered in three days. It was a mad rush to get them out. So, we are looking at different holiday gifting options for this year.
We are thinking this year to do something that could leisurely be delivered before Thanksgiving. One idea was an herb planter, with rosemary, sage, thyme, etc. Everything that will come in handy for holiday cooking. But what about our real estate clients and friends who don’t cook for the holidays?
The above is a mock up of the Pasadena Ronald Mc Donald Gala’s centerpiece. I think something similar will be nice. If a client doesn’t want it they could re-gift as a hostess gift. I scoped out the flower mart and Moskatels for some inspiration…. stay tuned.
