Last month the number of sales jumped to twenty, the highest number year to date. While the average sales price increased significantly, the median increased very little.
Last month, the least expensive home sold in La Canada was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2,115-square foot located at 4926 Hampton Rd. Initially listed for $1,589,000 and sold in ten days for over asking $1,650,000. The most expensive home sold was a five-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 9,533 square-foot located at 1248 Inverness Drive. This luxury estate was originally listed for $8,800,000 and sold for $8,500,000.
Thirteen La Canada homes sold over the asking price. An 1847-square-foot home on Hayman was listed for $1,450,000. It sold for $2,050,000. Six homes sold for less than asking and one sold at the asking price.
In analyzing the La Canada real estate market for July 2023, it’s interesting to note the price per square footage range. Once again, the average price per square foot varied greatly. On the low end was a 5,526-square-foot home on Wendover. It sold for $488.60 per foot. On the high end was a 2,724-square-foot home on Earlmont selling for $1,318.83 per foot.
