Let’s analyze the La Canada Real Estate Market for November 2023. Only eleven homes were sold, which is typical for this time of year. It is interesting to note how significantly the average and median prices have increased.
The least expensive home sold in La Canada was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,818-square-foot home located at 1023 White Deer Dr. This home was initially listed for $1,650,000 and sold in two weeks over asking at $1,750,000. The most expensive home sold was a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 7,489 square foot home located at 4200 Mesa Vista Dr. Initially listed for $5,800,000 and sold in fifty-five days for $5,500,000.
Four homes sold over asking price, four sold at the asking. A home on Walmar Ave. listed at $1,695,000 sold in seven days for $2,300,000. Two La Canada homes sold off market (prior to going live in the mls). It’s interesting to note that the two homes sold off market were not sold in house. Meaning the listing and selling offices were different brokerages.
Three sold less than the asking price. 501 Haverstock Rd, which was a foreclosure sold for just $424.27 per foot. While a 2002 square foot home on Lombardy sold for $1,194.07 per foot.
