Luxury home sales in La Canada
Last month the most expensive luxury home sale in La Canada Flintridge was 3707 Via Serrano Ave This La Canada estate sold for the asking price of $2,779,000. The sellers purchased this home in June of 2017 for $2,718,000. Interesting is the sales history on this home. It sold in 2014 for $2,500,000 and in 2011 for the same amount, and again in 2006 for $2,348,600.
I have noticed over the course of my real estate career, some homes have a constant turn over, while others embrace their owners. We have been in our home for over twenty years, it has good real estate juju.
MLS Remarks for 3707 Via Serrano Ave La Canada Read:
Site on nearly an acre of land in prime La Canada Flintridge. The home was designed by noted architect Brad Barcus and built in 2001. It is located on a peaceful cul-de-sac, where there are other newer and similarly prestigious homes. The dramatic entry is truly impressive. There are newer wood floors, and high ceilings. The gourmet kitchen was remodeled, and includes Caesar stone counters, tile floors, center island, stainless appliances, and an Espresso Bar.
The open floor plan provides a spacious dining area adjacent to the kitchen, a relaxing family room, with large windows that bring the outdoors in. The entry level also has a bedroom with private bath, laundry room, elegant, temperature-controlled wine room, and remodeled guest bath. The upstairs offers a master suite, with luxurious marble counters and floors, a spa tub, large walk-in closet, fireplace, and opens to a huge balcony with spectacular mountain views. Just added, is a high tech security system throughout. The upstairs also provides an additional 3 ample sized bedrooms, and 2 baths. Recessed lighting, crown moldings, central air, and a 3-car attached garage with carbon fiber cabinets enhance the features of the property.
We have a home in our neighborhood like that. Five or six owners that I can remember. With the house sitting empty at times in between. The house seems fine physically just very high turnover
