There are not a lot of lunch options in La Canada. Kris and I used to love going to Sakura for lunch, but they stopped serving lunch since COVID. France Cafe in La Crescenta is great, and the owners are so friendly. We used to go to Houston’s, but it’s always crowded and noisy. If you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy a meal in Pasadena, Nicks on Lake is a better option than Huston’s. They offer a great menu. I enjoy their spicy Thai Salad with chicken, it’s very similar to the one served at Houston’s. If you haven’t tried it, their warm butter cake is delicious but best shared. Parking is in the back of the restaurant. If you can book ahead, I prefer to sit downstairs in the main dining room. It’s closer to the kitchen, and the service seems better there.
