Setting up a guest bedroom

When my husband and I moved from the Fair Oaks Community in Glendale to La Canada, having a guest bedroom was a priority. As my parents had relocated to another state, the need for a warm and inviting space for them was necessary. When setting up a guest room, the key is to craft a comfortable and welcoming environment for your visitors. To assist you here are some helpful tips:

Storage Space:
Provide ample storage space, such as a dresser or closet with hangers, for your guests to unpack and store their belongings.

Lighting:
Include bedside lamps for reading.

Window Treatments:
Install curtains or blinds that provide privacy and control over the amount of natural light entering the room.

Mirror:
A full-length mirror or at least a decent-sized mirror in the room is practical for your guests.

Extra Amenities:
Consider adding extra amenities like a small basket of toiletries, a phone charger, fresh towels, and a water carafe with glasses. You can also include an alarm clock, tissues, a notepad, and a pen.

Wi-Fi Information:
Display the Wi-Fi network name and password in an easily visible location.

Chair or Bench
There should be a chair or bench to use when putting on shoes.

Space for Work:
If space allows, provide a small desk or a designated area where guests can work or use their laptops.

Personal Touches:
Add some personal touches to make the space feel more inviting. This could include fresh flowers, artwork, or a few books for leisure reading.
