I have been reading about That Guy’s Sandwiches on Facebook. The owners previously owned McCall’s Meat and Fish in Los Feliz. Last week, Kris and I thought we’d give it a try. In my opinion, a great sandwich starts with good fresh bread or a roll. Their roll was soft and fresh.
I have wanted to check out That Guy’s Sandwiches and we had time to do so just before Christmas. I had the roast beef sandwich with Manchego cheese. It was delicious. Kris had the ham and chutney and enjoyed her as well. The menu is not extensive, but there is something for everyone, including a veggie option. However, if you are gluten intolerant, the only options are salads.
While there, I browsed Rosso Wine Shop. I didn’t know that they sell olive oil and cans of Italian tomatoes in addition to wine. They have a small deli case with salami, cheese, and olives. I purchased a salami. The wine shop and That Guy’s Sandwiches are both located at 3459 N. Verdugo Rd. in Glendale.
