As a top real estate agent in La Canada, I strive to keep informed about current market conditions. Let’s dissect the La Canada Real Estate for August 2024. Last month, twenty-four homes closed escrow, the highest number year to date. Fourteen homes sold over the asking price, one at asking and nine below. A four-bedroom and three-bathroom home at 5171 Vista Miguel Dr. sold for $644.62 per foot. A four-bedroom and four-bathroom home at 1210 Journeys End Dr. sold for $1,133.35 per foot.
The least expensive home sold in La Canada was the two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 732-square-foot home at 4711 Crown Ave. It was initially listed for $1,150,000 and sold over asking for $1,375,000 in sixteen days. The most expensive home sold was a four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,731-square-foot home at 4129 Woodleigh Lane. It was initially listed for $4,600,000 and sold for $4,850,000 in just one day. The number of days on the market ranged from one, the Woodleigh sale, to 127 days for a 3200+ square foot home on Lamour. Just six sales sold in fifteen days or less.
Once again, the price per square foot varied. On the low end was the luxury sale on Vista Miguel, noted above selling for just $644.62 per foot. On the high end was the 732 square foot home on Crown also noted above. That’s a wrap for the La Canada Real Estate for August 2024.
