Anyone looking for home in the 91214 zip code knows it is an incredibly strong real estate market for home sellers – hence to 1.% absorption rate. Half of the single family homes in La Crescenta are selling for over $853,000. Last month the most expensive La Crescenta home sale was 2455 Kemper which sold for $2,305.00, the least expensive sale was $599,000 for a 720 square foot home on Third.
I recently met with some new La Crescenta home buyers hoping to purchase in the $900,000 range. We met for coffee and had a nice chat. They asked me how long it might take to find a home, I told them I just don’t know. The last La Crescenta buyers I had, I met last September and we closed escrow in June – nine months, about the time it takes to have a baby. Hopefully I will find something much sooner for this nice couple.
