When listing a home for sale, my goal is to generate interest. And to capture the attention of both Realtors and buyers. Presentation is key. In addition to professional real estate photography, compelling advertising copy goes a long way in attracting potential homeowners.
Typically I will type the copy which is more notes with some buzz phrases such as “this elegant and gracious home has been impeccably updated, yet still maintains breathtaking old world charm”. Then bit by bit, I start to string it together. I am not a professional writer. Therefore I do have to work at the multiple listing description which is the longest copy. After a couple of days it comes together. Once completed, it’s an easier task to abbreviate for the property brochure. Next, I write several ads of various length. For print advertising in a variety of publications including the Los Angeles Times, Pasadena and La Canada Outlook and the Crescenta Valley Weekly.
