As the year unfolds, it brings fresh trends in home decor, specifically in kitchen design. So, what are the hottest kitchen design trends for 2024?
Realtor.com recently highlighted some selections for 2024’s hottest kitchen trends. Among these trends are:
Open shelving: Open shelving not only provides convenient access to plates, bowls, and other items, but it also introduces visual interest. Moreover, it imparts a decorative touch to your kitchen that is notably more cost-effective than alternatives like full cabinets.
Coffee stations: With more people working from home post-pandemic, in-kitchen coffee stations have gained popularity. Establishing a coffee station in your kitchen ensures easy access to all the essentials for your morning cup of joe. Additionally, depending on your decorative choices, it can become a focal point of your kitchen design.
Sky blue: Each year, paint companies unveil their “Color of the Year.” For 2024, Benjamin Moore has chosen Blue Nova, a mid-tone sky blue with hints of violet. This color is expected to be prevalent in various settings, including kitchens.
Sustainable Materials: An increasing focus on eco-friendly and sustainable materials for kitchen construction and furnishing.
Smart Kitchens: Integration of smart technology into kitchen appliances and systems for enhanced efficiency and convenience.
One thing that never goes out of style is natural lighting.
I’m sure I am aging myself with this comment but I hate the idea of smart kitchens. Every appliance company now offers smart refrigerators and ranges. Wi-Fi for my appliances just seems to be a huge potential for hacking into my personal space and life. Call me skeptical to say the least
