I had a crazy busy summer – mostly all work, very little play. But I love what I do, so it was great. This summer I had two clients sell La Canada homes which I sold to them. The first home was in La Canada’s Sagebrush neighborhood. I sold this home to my clients in 1997, for $420,000. It sold in multiple offers for $1,275,000. This client relocated to Washington state.
The second La Canada home sale was in the Descanso Gardens neighborhood; I originally sold this home to a young couple in 2001 for $569,000. They had two children while in the home which just sold for $1,600,000 (multiple offers); they purchased an off market La Canada listing of one of my other clients.
Surprisingly only about 1/4 of home sellers contact the same agent who sold them their home. Real estate sales are about relationships. Maintaining relationships with clients, long after the sale is made is very important. I have two other clients who will be selling homes which I sold them next spring. One is in La Crescenta, and the other an equestrian property in Shadow Hills.
